Small Business Saturday – The day after Black Friday, we promote the Support Local/Shop Small movement by:

Events Calendar – We maintain a calendar of events happening throughout the district. To qualify, an event must either be hosted at a location within the downtown district OR be an offsite event that directly benefits a business or organization within the district. For example, a fundraising event for Open Door Cafe held at Beagle Ridge Herb Farm would qualify for our calendar. Use the Submit Event tab to send us an event for inclusion on our calendar.
Facebook Events – Downtown businesses can list us as a co-host when creating a Facebook event. Once we accept the co-host invite, your event will automatically show up on our Facebook events page.
Facebook Spotlights – If you’re hosting an event, offering a unique promotion, or celebrating a milestone like a grand opening or anniversary, we would love to share that on our Facebook! We scan business Facebook pages for these types of posts, but you can also tag @downtownwytheville or email us to bring it to our attention.
Instagram Posts – We like to post original content on our Instagram. If you have a cool new product, unique display, or something else you’d like us to feature, call or email to let us know! We’ll come to your business and snap some photos. PS: If you have a dog that hangs out at your shop, let us know so we can include him or her in our #dogsofdowntown series!
Monthly Newsletter – We send out a monthly newsletter to more than 200 subscribers highlighting a handful of upcoming events and linking back to our event calendar so our fans can see everything that’s going on for the month. To have your event considered for inclusion, email us the relevant details by about the 25th day of the preceding month. Sign up for our Stakeholders email, exclusively for downtown business owners, managers, and staff, by clicking here.
