Join us in Downtown Wytheville for an all-day celebration on Wednesday, July 4th!
2PM – Kids Parade – participants will be registered to win a kids’ bike sponsored by Flourz
2-5PM – Classic Car Cruise-In & Pin-Up Girls – registered car owners will be entered to win prizes sponsored by Bob Huff Dealerships and Tommy Hundley – State Farm
2:30-5PM – Live Music featuring One Side Missing
3PM – Donut Eating Contest sponsored by Olykoek (pre-registration required, visit shop)
5PM – Brain Freeze Challenge sponsored by Wiffle Pops (pre-registration required, visit shop)
5:30PM – Hot Dog Eating Contest sponsored by Skeeter’s (pre-registration required, visit shop)
2-6PM:
- Bouncy house & inflatables sponsored by Skeeter’s
- Beer on tap (Wristband required – wristband is $5; first beer is included in cost of wristband. Wristbands can be purchased at the State Farm tent.)
- Downtown dining & food trucks
- Girl Scouts will be selling lemonade in front of the Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Musem

The celebration continues in Elizabeth Brown Park, 6:45-9:45PM, with activities hosted by the Town of Wytheville:
- Live Music featuring the Fantastic Shakers
- Food vendors
- Beer on tap
- Kids activities
And the grand finale, fireworks at dusk! Fireworks will be launched from Withers Park starting at about 9:45; Withers will be closed to foot traffic during the fireworks. Fireworks hosted by Town of Wytheville – Parks & Recreation Department.

Street Closures: Streets will close at about 6am. Closures will affect Main Street from 1st Street intersection to 4th Street intersection, Tazewell Street from Monroe Street intersection to Main Street intersection, and Church Street from Spring Street intersection to Main Street intersection.
Parking: Handicap parking will be available along Church Street. Public parking will be available in the municipal lot at the Town Office on Monroe Street and the lots in front of McWane Pool, as well as regular street parking on open streets.
